Pure Simplicity Range

I'm working on a new range of children's hats for mums who see beauty in simplicity. They are simple roll-brim hats with a tiny stalk on top, knitted in gorgeous pastel hues, such as robin's egg, soft mint, oatmeal, latte and the softest of pinks. They'll be perfect for babies. The first sample is being knitted as I write this - will post some pictures as soon as I have some.

Melbourne's Child Ad

I've advertised in Melbourne's Child for the months of May and June. The response has been great.

New Cotton Range

I've had a number of enquiries as to whether Perfect Amity Nature Hats come in an alternative to wool - its seems quite a few little people are allergic to wool. I've been researching the feasibility of doing a limited range in 100% cotton. Cotton hats wouldn't have the same shape-retentive qualities as wool, but would look just as nice. They'd be a little prone to stretching and losing their shape, and wouldn't be as warm. I'm looking at doing a slightly different brim design to help cotton hats keep their shape. Unfortunately, there isn't a huge colour range available in cotton, so this would limit the number of styles I'd be able to offer. As long as the customer is made aware of the limitations of cotton, it would be great to offer an alternative to those whose little ones are sensitive to wool on their skin.
I'll be getting a few samples knitted up in the next few weeks, will let you know how they turn out. All going well, they should be available in my online shop within a month.
